Every chapter leaves me flailing in some manner, and once it finishes there will be a noticeable void in my life. It’s perfect and beautiful and adorable and heartbreaking and it’s impossible to recommend it enough.

Why I Rec This Fic: It’s beautiful and horrible and gut-wrenching and hideously, perversely sweet. Also, Rommath and Lor’themar as san’layn are super hot. Like, super hot.

How I feel about this character: My beautiful, precious ranger baby. He’s good and pure and deserves every good thing that could ever happen to him. Brave, melancholy, dutiful, thoughtful, forever sacrificing his needs for the good of Quel’thalas... I JUST WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY. ;___;

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Rommath (<3), Halduron, Liadrin

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Halduron and Liadrin. Circumstances have broken them apart, but I badly want Lor’themar to have his BFFs again.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t know if I have one! 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I want Lor to one day be able to settle down in the woods with a lovely garden and surrounded by animals and living with whoever makes him happy. The visual guide says he doesn’t want to start a new dynasty, but if he wanted children I hope that he could one day retire from his post and then have a family. I just want him to be happy. ;___;

Tae’thelan:

How I feel about this character: I love him! He’s a regal, arrogant asshole, well-spoken and well-educated, and I always dig that. He cares deeply about his people and has very moderate politics, which is why I think he’s also a bit of a sweetheart when he’s not being an ass. <3

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Rommath (thanks, RP. Never joke ship, JFC!)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Maybe Brann Bronzebeard? I’m sure they’d have a lot to talk about!

My unpopular opinion about this character: Again, I don’t know if I have one? There’s so little out there about him!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I just want him to be relevant and receive some more characterisation and a storyline! Maybe his quests in Suramar in Legion will deliver? Also, I need to know what he’s been doing in the Badlands all these years!

Oh my GOD I was too excited to even notice that! Gosh, neutral quest-giver! Ever-pragmatic, Tae’thelan. I wonder how he feels about dwarves, lol.

AHHHHHHHH Tae’thelan is in Legion! With quests?! “Meet with Tae’thelan Bloodwatcher in Suramar”! I AM SO EXCITED. Though also afraid - what if all my characterisation gets destroyed? OH WELL though - new content! AHHHHHH. Why do I not have beta?!

You know what’s really funny? Tae’thelan sends you on a quest to get the Discs of Norgannon from Uldaman, excited for all the powerful knowledge they might impart, only to end up with a history of the dwarves, his hated nemesis. Trolololol.

(Although! The sequence with the discs only talks about the earthen, but Chronicle says the discs “would transcribe history as it unfolded on Azeroth”, so there’s gotta be more! I guess it’s a case of Chronicle being much more up to date than a quest from Cataclysm that was in turn a quest from vanilla!)
