I hate how pidge is written as this snarky smart girl and that’s all she is. They all lack deep conflicting personalities. They all have this one kind of trait in the team Keith is the most emotional, hunk is the kindest, lance is the supportive one, shiro is the leader, pidge is smart. DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON ALLURA! I couldn’t figure out her thing at all it’s like her thing is to be a leader but it’s so fucked because there can’t be two leaders so she’s kinda pushed to the side maybe her thing is magic idk. But they lack a consistent personality but at the same time they have a very one dimensional personality. in a way that it seems like the writers just threw things at them to try to make it interesting but they didn’t know what they were doing. Especially pidge and allura they’re both written poorly and it’s sad that they are (imo) the worst written of them all also being the only women on the team. Anyway this is a rant it’s not coherent I hope you understand what I’m saying
And in the future I hope shows would write their female characters better, fuck write all the characters better but emphasis on the women because media sucks at writing women.
