Raw Roads Australia Tour September 11th - 30th 2013 ‘Songs from Chaos’ - a cultural arts project with Macdonnell Shire Youth Development and CAAMA, The Central Australian Aboriginal Media Arts organisation based in Alice Springs.
Raw Material will be running music and digital media workshops, live music sessions and events with indigenous Australians and artists in rural communities in the Western desert. We are sending a team of five eclectic artists. FLOetic Lara and Tagz Chambers, two young singer songwriters and rappers. Electronic composer and DJ Wu-Lu, painter and digital artist Barka and precussion musician Michael Kathak Strocchi.
The project will be taking place in three communities in central Australia and is being supported by AAACE (Australasian Association of Arts and Cultural Education Inc) and Macdonnell Shire.
