Giuseppe tilted his head, humming and nodding in acknowledgement .
“Sí! I see you’re a very wary of those you mix with, hm?”
He knelt down and turned the pocket inside out, gently snipping at it and being wary of the seams as to not raise suspicion from the outside
“Voila! All a done for you.”
He turned to Bert and smiled, standing up again
“You have the gloves, sí?”

Ever since Teddy slipped into the robe, Bert had been mindlessly chewing on the glove he was wearing. Giuseppe's question snapped him out of it. He slipped off the glove he was just gnawing on, tossed it in the bag with the others, and handed it towards the tailor.
"Yes! Here. Sorry there are so many. Actually... why does this feel so heavy. There isn't THAT much I thought..."
He pulled the bag back towards him and rummaged around in it. A green, three-eyed rat popped her head out after a moment.
"Ach!!!! Sherri Jr.!!!! What are you doing in there!!!!"
Sherri Jr. sniffed the air, hopped out of the bag, skittered up to and sniffed Giuseppe, then scampered over to Teddy and sniffed him as well.
Teddy hummed in agreement, while figuring that he shouldn't mention that he always carried his blaster anyways.
He watched as Giuseppe cut the pocket and muttered a thanks once he was done. Then he felt the edge before tucking the former pocket in. It would have to be hemmed later to prevent fraying, but the important part was that Giuseppe picked up his hint.
But did Bert? Had he ever mentioned that he used to be a soldier? Teddy grew concerned as he looked at Bert for a reaction, only to see how distracted he was. ...Did he normally go through this many gloves or...?
Teddy's eye briefly widened when Sherri emerged, then his expression softened. He was indifferent towards animals himself (which really, was for the best in his line of work), but it was sweet how Bert cared for her. Even going so far as to make up an experiment to justify her continued existence.
So when Sherri sniffed him Teddy slowly bent down and held out his hand. How did one make a good first impression on a rat anyhow?
