        truly , he wasn’t sure he could ever get tired of hearing it . he liked the thought that someone cared enough about him that they missed him , that there was someone waiting for him to get back home safely . prim made him keep his head up a lot at times when things felt hard . it gave himself something to drive home for when he felt like it was going to be the straw to break the camel’s back . his sweet prim ... a smile crossing him as he let’s a hand come down to gently brush along her jawline . her head in his lap as there’s a movie on low volume and just enjoying time spent together tonight . ‘ it’s never too much to tell me that , prim . i always miss you when i go on trips . and it helps keep my head on straight at times when i know i need to keep going , ‘ he admits with a little smile . ‘ and i will admit , it’s nice to come home to you , whether i’ve been gone a day , or two weeks .. ‘

The brunette had been hunting to get something to eat. Not that they were that poor anymore since they were living at the Victor’s village in 12. Katniss was on her way back home with turkey’s she shot and a duck. Walking inside of the house as she put her bow and arrow next to the door and walked to the kitchen to place the animals she shot on the counter for her mother to cook dinner for. With the other turkey, Kantiss went to Peeta and because she gave him a turkey he gave her some bread. “Thank you.”

The brunette walked back home and closed the door and saw her little sister. “Hey, little duck. How was school?”

Katniss softly hummed to her sister as she ran her fingers through her hair. Each exhale she swayed the hair into a braid that laid gently against against Prim’s back. ❛ What’re you reading, Little Duck? ❜ She asked, looking over her sister’s shoulder at the book she assumed she picked up at The Seam.

Erica whistled softly as the lacrosse team ran onto the field for practice, her large sunglasses covering her eyes. She sat back with a satisfied smile taking in the bare hairy legs, thick shoulders protected by pads and strong arms clutching onto the lacrosse sticks. “Oh I love pre-game season” she giggled as the boys took their places. “Between you and me number 24, 11 and 14  could get it. You see anyone you like?”
