I recently had to do a gallery piece (in 4 days, no less) and took the opportunity to 1. Paint cool birds and 2. Discretely make lesbian book fanart.

Baru is represented as a cormorant (obviously), while Tain Hu is an osprey- a sea hawk. You may be wondering “why did you make her a sea hawk?” And the answer is A. Because I like painting them, they’re gorgeous and B. She’s forever to the sea. :3
