Missing the trail this morning. Sometimes I really miss being a backpacking Guide and other times I’m so glad I’m out of that game. Maybe on different terms it would’ve been more enjoyable. I pushed back starting my FKT (speed record) attempt one day, until tomorrow, for a couple reasons. But first, here’s a clip of the video I made about my training. The full video is on YouTube on the Freeoutside channel. It’s only a couple minutes long so you should like and subscribe to the channel. So, one reason I didn’t start today is after about 285 miles down to the border I felt as if I would be starting out without a proper resupply and would be trying to wing it through the first section. Another reason is I have a weird rash on my hand and wanted something to get it under control. Overall, yesterday afternoon I just decided today wouldn’t be the day.
