Where do your characters live? Have they lived there their whole life?

The story takes place in Oregon maybe in Gresham bc I say so but it's not set in stone

Oliver- yes

Sarah- yes

Anika- yes

Sam- no, he moved here when he started school

Daniel- sorta, his first few years his family was constantly on and off from Oregon to Italy

How did your characters react to the ending of stranger things? Assuming it exists in their universe of course

Pretty much everything from our world is canon to theirs (but they get the cool extra stuff the story’s actually about)

So yes st is real in their universe

Well….. their reactions

Oliver - so so so angry and sad, he really saw himself in mike before the “friends? No thanks, best friends” bs

Sarah - absolutely destroyed when el died (she was her fav)

Anika - didn’t watch the show till the last season when she binged it with the alive5 (it was a rewatch for the others), has sworn that if she ever comes closer than 20feet of the duffers that she’ll punch them both in the face

Sam - big byler shipper…. (we all know what it was like)

Daniel - cried (like a baby… poor baby)

Will you give us better lgbtq rep than the duffers?

Honey I can give you canon queer characters who get to be in endgame queer relationships

I have lesbians gays bis pans aces aros trans folks and more!!!

Being lgbtq has been part of my life for very long, I was raised to always be respectful to others (regardless of sexuality or other factors!)

When I decided I wanted my characters to be lgbtq I wanted to make sure I give accurate and good representation

I can’t guarantee the way lgbtq characters will be represented will be like your experience but I’m always trying to find other sources than my own experience so feel free to share what it was like for you (if you’re comfortable) and I’ll try to add it to my writing! ^^

I’m trying my best when it comes to lgbtq characters (and characters part of other minorities) to represent it well

How about…..

How did Sam and Daniel meet?…

The first meeting.

1993, September.

Sam had just moved to Gresham, he was the new kid in town. At least everyone was new to school too — it was their first year after all.

Sitting in his desk in his first class, he couldn’t pay attention to what the teacher was saying. He didn’t know anyone. There were a few kids talking about what they did over the summer, they obviously had known each other before school. “Is there anyone here who I’d like as a friend?” Sam asked himself.

The classes went by fairly quickly, but Sam still hadn’t made a single friend. He’d talked to a few kids he talked to but… they weren’t his friends.

Recess finally came and Sam went to the mary-go-round and slowly started to spin. He was thinking of how he had no one to talk to. He picked up a dandelion and blew on it, then he started stating his wish. “I wish that I can find a frie—“.

A loud sound interrupted him. A boy with brown hair was lying on the ground,,, face in the grass.

Sam walked over to him. “Did you- … did you fall?…”

“The boy jolted to life when he realized someone was there, then he answered. “Yeah.”

“Why did you keep lying on the ground?” Sam asked.

“Because….. I can?…” the boy answered. “That’s not true, i hurt my face and i didn’t want people to see.”

“Your face doesn’t look hurt.” Sam continued.

“Oh boy, it sure feels like it though!” the boy said while waving his arms in the air dramatically. “Why do you even care if I fell?”

“Because I don’t want you to be hurt?..” Sam answered.

“….” the boy did speak, it was as if he was thinking intensely… while staring at Sam which was freaking him out. “My name’s Daniel. Do you want to be my friend?”

“Oh, sure!” Sam answered quickly. “My name’s Sam.”

“I saw you were spinning on the mary-go-round, do you want to do that together?” Daniel asked Sam.

“Sure!!!” Sam was eccentric, he made a friend ion his first day of school. The two ended up being friends all the way to junior year… and perhaps after too.

PS: Daniel was watching Sam like a little creep while on the top of the slide before he fell and drew attention to himself 😭❤️
