The Speaking Piano
Originally this post was going to be included in my Facebook Archive. But I decided it was interesting enough - and I found an additional YouTube video (in English and newer) - that I decided to expand it into a new post.
The original video I posted to Facebook on April 11th, 2010. Unfortunately for me, the news spot is all in German. But the demonstration of using a piano to replicate speech is in English.
YouTube of course suggested another video when I finished this one - in English this time - that covers the topic of this one as well as diving into experimental art of human voice and piano.
One person commented on the first video that they should use that in a horror movie... a ghost or spirit uses a piano like that to speak. That would be perfect!
This is like something straight out of an unnerving sci-fi movie.
Speaking Piano - Human speech can be replicated with the keys of a keyboard that is then translated into piano keys. Or in other words you could play the piano in a certain way that then sounds like a human talking.
Creepy
Text-to-Speech Piano
I really wish I knew what the narrator's saying. Maybe something like, "This piano speaks English, but I don't. You, American viewer, have a better chance of understanding a fucking piano than you do me. Now enjoy these awful hellish sounds."
