❛ Do what? ❜    Peter has an    overly - innocent    look in his eyes ; after all,    he knows exactly what he’s doing.    The two had just gotten into a little tiff –– it was    the same old story :    Peter was being a little reckless as the    web-slinging hero    they knew and loved, and he came back...    a bit more injured    than either of them would have liked. So now, Evie was patching him up, and scolding him the whole time. Peter was listening, but not without apologizing and giving her the    doe - eyed look    he perfected for times like this.    She has a smile on her face, but Peter knows he won’t be getting off the hook that easy. 

❛ I know, alright? I got a little    carried away    and bit off more than I could chew. ❜    At least he came home to her in one piece. Some days, that was all they could ask for.    ❛ I’ll be okay. Promise. I mean,    come on.    I got the    best nurse    in New York City right here.    –––    How many degrees you got again? Whew. ❜

I am very small and I have no money, so you can imagine the kind of stress that I’m under. / to peter from evie

❛ Evie. ❜    Peter gently pushes her arm down, shaking his head. It was    too early in the morning    for her to be having a breakdown in the middle of the bodega.    ( That was more of a late - night thing. )    He swipes her drink from her hands and steps up to the register in one swift motion, placing the items on the counter.    ❛ Yeah, we got two    bacon, egg, and cheeses,    and these. ❜    He pushes the drinks forward. And, at the    last second,    grabs a couple packs of gum from underneath the counter and plops them down as well.

❛ Oh my god.    –––    We’re terrible!    Absolu– fuck! ❜    And with that, he’s falling down.    Again.    And dragging her down with him.    ( Laughing the whole way down, of course. )    The two had been taking turns slamming into the ice    and pulling the other down, bursting into fits of laughter as people had no choice but to skate around them. This time, Evie gets up first and offers him a hand  ––  which he gratefully takes. Their   triumphant moment    of  ACTUALLY STANDING UP  doesn’t last long, however, as Evie immediately loses her balance when Peter stands fully upright. She knocks him back onto the ice and topples against his chest. Instead of standing up right away, Peter sits up, wrapping his arms around her and scooting towards the wall. He can’t stop laughing, no matter how cold he is from landing butt-first on the ice so many times.    ❛ Whose idea was this again? We suck. ❜

❛ Hey, comin’ through. ❜    Dean presses a kiss to the side of Evie’s head as he makes his way by her. Living with her there, in the bunker, could almost trick Dean that they were living a normal life. They were both currently bustling in the kitchen, preparing food as Sam went out to restock the drinks. They had become quite the little family in time; so no – their lives weren’t normal, but Dean would never complain – as long as he had the people who made him whole.    ❛ Don’t forget to throw an extra cutlet on, in case Sammy comes back with Brooke. ❜
