Any reasonable man would have done the same.
Alaude hadnāt yet spent much time in his assigned abode, mostly because there were three other people there. As if he didnāt have a hard enough time letting his guard down, to be suddenly expected to live with total strangers was... ridiculous, to say the least.
Instead, he had introduced himself to each of them once (a briefĀ āMy name is Alaude. I hope we can stay out of each otherās way.ā) before getting on his way, and had had his handful of catnaps in whatever tree felt appropriate at the time. The bed in his room lay as untouched as the day heād arrived, as did most of the things assigned to him.
Today, though, he had made an attempt to gather information. In the ring he had been aware of the passing of time, but only now was he fully grasping how different a world he had been ejected into; the coffee maker, he understood and greatly appreciated, but the rest of the kitchen was... a death trap.
This morning, he had attempted to learn another new appliance (briefĀ reconnaissance said it was a blender), but as soon as he had pushed one of the myriad of buttons on its face, it had come to life with a violent whirring sound. Well, Alaude had no choice but to dismantle the thing immediately. Any reasonable man would have done the same.
But now, with the remains of the beast laid out on the counter before him, Alaude was faced with one of the people who lived in the apartment as well. A young man named Atreus who had just rounded the corner and seen what Alaude had done.
For a moment, he just stared at the boy.Ā ā...It was broken,ā he offered as a weak explanation.Ā āAnything with spinning blades should not be allowed to continue malfunctioning.ā
