Dragon Quest IV - Postcards
Recent...reasons have had me wanting to obsess about Yorknew Arc in HxH. To the point I sought out the manga over the true way to enjoy it, the 1999 anime. Oh my god this blew my mind when I saw it. Togashi’s love for Dragon Quest is such a meme and here it found it’s way in to one of my favorite little moments for Gon.
This is when they’re going to the overflow auction with Zepile. Taloon...is a legend in the Dragon Quest series. DQ4 has you play as the merchant for a segment and it is hilarious because you’re an RPG merchant. The entire segment is about building a shop and you have to have his wife sell the loot! One of the best parts of the series and something most fans would recognize.
