Healing world Theory
Once upon a time, I stumbled across a post on a platform (can't remember which one, it was probably pintrest) theorizing that Minecraft is actually a world that has been overrun by monsters and is slowly healing after an apocalyptic event, speculated to have been caused by the Ender Dragon. For example, Ghasts in the nether attack us, but then we find a dried ghast in the Nether. We take it home, we heal it, give it life, and it becomes the HAPPY GHAST! This leads to others hoping for other tamable mobs in the future.
