One of my pets peeves i’ve found while listening to Dawson’s Creek podcasts is when people hate Pacey because of the Tamara storyline. I’m looking at one podcast in particular... *cough... The Creekend... *cough.
It’s extremely angering because one of the hosts just hated Pacey with a burning passion because of the Tamara storyline... PACEY WAS ABUSED!!! How could someone be so cold and uncaring that you would hate a victim for their abuse. He especially took issue with Pacey following Tamara to the movies and called Pacey a stalker. 1. Tamara told him where she was gonna be that night. She told Pacey she was gonna be at the movies. It didn’t take any stalking on Pacey’s part to know that. Tamara crossed a line big time... she should not have been having a personal conversation with him and telling him her plans for the night. Especially knowing that he had a schoolboy crush on her. Everything Tamara did was massively fucked up and Pacey gets a pass for anything having to do with Tamara short of murder. 2. The second Tamara saw how Pacey felt for her she should have asked to move to a different class that he wasn’t in. And the second she saw that she had feelings for Pacey... she should have quit being a teacher. Cause a pedophile has no place working in a school. She claimed to be so cut up about it and we’re supposed to believe that she’s trying to not be in a relationship with him at first. I call bullshit on that, cause if she was really torn up about it she would have quit and left town.
This whole situation with Pacey and his teacher is weird because somehow I come away feeling like they’re both assaulting each other? Like obviously she’s in the wrong because he’s her student, but also she tells him no at multiple points and he never accepts it? It’s just bad and makes me uncomfortable all over and I’m tempted to stop watching because of it...

I just realized that the actress who plays Tamara Jacobs in Dawson’s Creek and the actress who plays Shira Huntzberger in Gilmore Girls are one and the same. Wow she really has the market cornered on horrible women! :)
