Regarding Disney rejecting Varian and the seven kingdom purely because they felt like a tangled character story needs to have Rapunzel, Disney is BEYOND STUPID! This story looks awesome. who knows it might even be better then tangled. would that be so bad? No! it would just show that they could expand and profit from the adventures of the characters people have already fallen in love with. I personally feel Varian’s story needs to be told.
As a side note I would also like to see what every happened to Cassandra

OK So since I was so disappointed and a bit annoyed that there will not be a canon Varian and the 7 kingdoms, I decided I am going to attempt to write my own. Obviously I will use a bit if not most of the stuff that published but I might change a few things. It might take awhile so wish me luck.
