With a savory umami rub and a sweet, tangy glaze, these Mesquite Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs will take your BBQ game to the next level. These ribs are very tasty because the mesquite wood gives them a distinct smokiness.
Ingredients: 2 racks of pork ribs. 1/4 cup mesquite wood chips, soaked in water. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons smoked paprika. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 tablespoon kosher salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 cup BBQ sauce. Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Use mesquite wood chips to heat your smoker up to 225F 107C for extra flavor. Take off the membrane on the back of the ribs so that the rub can work better. Gather brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. This is how you make the rub. Make sure the coating is even by rubbing the mixture all over both sides of the ribs. Put the ribs on the grill's grates and smoke them for four to five hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190F 88C. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce for a sweet and sour glaze during the last 30 minutes of smoking. After the ribs are done, let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting them into pieces. Before serving, top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
