what if atsushi is tanizaki's gay awakening...

atsushi joins the ADA and tanizaki just thinks it's some kid, at least he's around his age that's a plus, and then thinks not much else. then later watching atsushi fight akutagawa as a tiger—such a magnificent tiger, too—and even later as atsushi becomes more confident and fierce. tanizakis watches him fighting once, teeth bared, his limbs all tigered-up, his face scrunched with determination, and he goes... woah.

I can't be the only one that likes it so much.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy any other ship with Atsushi and Tanizaki just fine but there's just something about their friendship under a romantic light that touches a string.

Their dynamic is simple but funny and refreshing to either watch or read about.

One can easily imagine their opt saving each other, dying for the other, making vows and promises. But ships like this make you think more of a day to day domesticity, bringing each other's favorite drink to their desk while they do paperwork, casual dates, going to the others place and just hanging out, sticking to each other on agency outings, helping each other out on their cases, etc.

They already have a positive dynamic that feels natural to them and it shows in the interactions they have together, making them endearing to watch. The wimp of the west and wimp of the east is a good example of this.

Plus, who doesn't like two little feral things that are usually very sweet until you push just the right bottoms.
