"I don't know about you, but, that guy over there looks like he wants to take you home for the night. He's cute, probably married but I won't tell if you won't -" she paused as her eyes shifted, meeting the other. "You know, I shouldn't be the least bit shocked that you're here but yet here I am, speechless." Monet spoke, bringing her glass to her lips and downing it in a matter of seconds before she let her gaze meet the other's again. "This is a rather pleasant surprise I must say."

"Dammit!" Madeleine cursed as she opened her driver's side door, now stranded on the side of the street. She'd known better than to try to drive the van around; there had been a reason she'd parked it and bought some cheap bike off Craigslist when she arrived in April, but, when it had started with no issues back home she'd not thought twice about it and instead decided to take it out on her errands today. She hadn't anticipated the wave of smoke that had come up from under the hood of the car, and honestly now she was trying to figure out how she was going to get back home. She knew a whole one person in this town, and sadly even they weren't on a 'lets exchange numbers' basis. Though, she could contact him if she needed to. She was just too prideful to admit she'd been wrong about the van. She was pacing up and down the street when she heard a car stop, turning to face the other direction. Though the look on her face said she was less than thrilled to be around people.
