when sera had heard that KID’s heist was once again close to where she would be, she took it as the perfect opportunity to give him a piece of her mind. she had already been in the building when the unnecessarily big amount of cops entered the building ready to catch the kid.
she had practically seen the flaw in nakamori’s plan the moment she had heard him speak and she traveled the most logical place she thought he might appear. on her trip down the long hallway she saw that aside from all the other windows, that were closed, one was open. "you’d think that nakamori guy would be more observant of these sort of things.." she walked over to close the window. but as she did, she could feel the sudden lack in weight as her had slid on the top of the window opening, and slid off her head. her heart skipped a beat and in attempt to catch her hat, she reached out the window to try to grab it. bad idea
within seconds she had lost her footing in attempt to grab the fedora and before she knew it she was hanging on for dear life as she looked at the concrete below her. "shit. sHIT. THIS IS BAD" sera tried with all her strength to hoist herself back inside the window with no luck.
"h-HELP" she screamed. she didnt want to admit that she needed help with something as humiliating as this, but she had no choice. once she had heard someone approaching, relief filled her as she knew she would finally get hel- wait. what did he say?
"w-what!? what do you mean?? are you insane!?" she asked with slight annoyance in her tone. she could be saved by now. but nNOO someone HAD to mistake her for KID again. she could feel her grip on the window weakening a bit as she also struggled to keep her balance.
Hakuba chuckled and leaned against the wall by the window, tipping his hat down. There was really no need for the thief to continue with his charade, everyone else in the building who was supposed to be here was accounted for. That meant the only one left was KID himself, and what a situation he was in. Of course he wouldn't let him fall, no, he'd just soak this in for as long as he could.
"Come now KID, you really should stop this." Hakuba grinned. "I already know it's you, and I could have handcuffs on you and Nakamori-keibu up here in seconds with his goon squad." He chimed away. "Really, what a situation your in." He teased. "Tsk, tsk, to think that the Phantom Thief messed up so badly as to get himself stuck halfway out a window."
Hakuba was having too much fun with this. Though he did notice the thief's grip was starting to slip, so he gently slipped a hand around his waist to steady him. He didn't pull him back in though, not yet, wanting to draw this out as long as possible He would prevent the other from stealing the jewel today, and he'd consider that a win. He didn't plan to turn him over to the Inspector, but hold this over his head as long as he could.
"I must say, you're going to owe me big time." He then pulled the thief back into the room, setting him on his feet and grinned.
