hand   in   hand   at   the   edge   of   the   world   or   so   it   felt   .   LET   US   BE   GREADY   .   &   coming   from   sarah   it   made   sense   .   the   only   way   .   where   yesterday   he   would   have   cowered   at   the   notion   (   oh   ,   all   that   could   go   wrong   ,   the   stress   ,   the   anxiety   )   ,   the   absence   of   life   came   with   a   disregard   of   the   consequences   .

from   today   on   ,   the   world   could   truly   be   theirs   .

❛❛   of   course   .   you   will   never   be   locked   in   again   .   ❜❜   there   was   a   lisp   to   his   voice   where   his   tongue   had   not   yet   grown   accustomed   to   the   enlarged   teeth   .   there   was   a   sway   to   his   step   where   his   body   had   not   yet   decided   whether   it   felt   too   weak   or   too   strong   .   (   there   was   a   burning   in   his   throat   that   he   understood   was   permanent   now   ,   always   hungering   for   something   to   MAKE   HIM   FEEL   ALIVE   .   )   ❛❛   we   will   be   greedy   .   we   will   hoard   .   we   will   have   everything   ,   my   love   .   ❜❜

from   today   on   ,   time   was   no   longer   against   them   ,   after   all   .

where   one   might   think   the   undead   were   little   more   than   walking   corpses   (   one   ,   in   this   equation   ,   being   alfred   .   )   was   sure   to   be   proven   wrong   when   experiencing   it   themselves   .   NOT   IN   ALL   ASPECTS   ,   but   much   remained   the   same   .   sleeping   hours   switched   a   bit   ,   you   no   longer   hungered   for   solid   nutrients   ,   forests   at   night   were   still   FREEZING   .   the   latter   becoming   more   &   more   relevant   as   alfred   shuffled   through   the   snowy   treelines   ,   SOMEHOW   trying   to   find   his   way   back   to   where   he   started   .   (   THE   IRONY   of   his   entire   journey   beginning   in   a   snowy   field   was   not   lost   to   him   .   one   day   it   might   get   more   than   a   grim   laugh   .   )   at   least   the   wolves   stayed   away   ,   identifying   him   for   what   he   was   ;   A   PREDATOR   .   ❛❛   who   is   there   ?   ❜❜   as   he   was   certain   to   have   heard   the   crunch   of   snow   under   boots   ;   or   maybe   he   was   finally   losing   his   mind   .          /         @carlislc​   /   @tanzsarah​          /          SC   -   ACCEPTING   !
