What's wrong with Zeena are Tarkelli? I do not really pay attention to mods but this is good tea.

I’ve probabaly repeated myself on this around 50 times now, so I apologize if I’m vague.

Basically from the start both seemed under-qualified for their positions. It’s not to say they’re complete nobodies, but really them, and the others hired, came out of no where. They really weren’t involved in the community, in forums or anything really, which causes concerns, much like “outside hires.”

In the beginning, they both started slow, which was reasonable. They mostly got on people about bumping too often. Good for a start right? Well, months go by and that’s still all they’re doing. There’s Help Tickets being backed up, a bunch of spam threads starting in all forums, and people desperately seeking some mods help in the Help Forum, because they can’t get through to them with a Ticket.

Just as a list, so I don’t have to go in depth:

They both were nowhere to be found except on Trade threads telling people to stop bumping often. Which is fine, but not when that’s all you do. 

If other people attempted to do something or help someone, Zeena would delete the [helpful] person’s post, and post herself with what exactly the person said. But of course, she has to do this to seemingly secure her position, I’m guessing?

tarkeli would lock some Discussion Threads that weren’t really spam topics, but because they had maybe 2 responses after the main post (which had been there for no longer than 20 minutes), they locked it and called it spam. But my bigger issue with this is that while these reasonable thread were being locked, there were still Trade and auction threads hanging around for a while, unlocked, in the same forum.

Some one had a thread where they had been desperately looking for help/assistance from a moderator, and what do you know, it’s Zeena to the rescue, right? Nope. Instead of helping this person, she just posts to not bump too often. Completely ignoring the fact that they need help. Do I really need to explain what’s wrong here?

I’m going to look back to see if I can find this one, but someone showed me how apparently even tarkeli doesn’t pay attention. There was a thread with some thread where the owner had been bumping it every minute. Zeena posted a warning saying to chill, and they posted again. Then waited half an hour, and then posted again (if it left the first page, I don’t know), but than apparently tarkeli posted and warned them. The problem being is you get 1 warning, then a locked thread and usually a board warning. About a few hours later, Zeena’s post on the thread was removed, as if tarkeli was the only one, and just the one in general, to issue the “one” warning.

Also, just as of now, neither of them have been any help to system whatsoever. They were hired to help the site, but really, I feel like once they came around that’s when shit hit the fan. Help Tickets are backed up more than ever before, and we’re either relying mostly on Seasonal or an Admin to do the jobs of the moderators. Fucking hell, I forget we have 11 fucking global mods. The only ones I can instantly speak for in being active is Seasonal and kerstin. tarkeli, Merilin and Zeena are a here and there (I imagine just to try and show they’re doing something), Coal really only posts as a regular user now, so I don’t really get what’s going on, but what about the others? Nadine, where the fuck are you? Metallic Dragon, that’s a name from the fucking past. Dama? Schuyler, nothing?

And for those wanting to defend them, that’s fine and all, but please explain why then is it that no one is getting a response for tickets, or on threads? I give huge credit to Seasonal, and even the Admins for this, but if they are stuck around in back answering PMs, then why is there nothing to show for it? 

It’s not just tarkeli and Zeena, they’ve just added to an already on going problem. Tess, Sorren, whoever, needs to fucking clean house of some of these people. As much as I’ve vouched for them in the past, they don’t have much to show now, and I think their time to give up their position and move on is coming, and coming fast, if it’s not already here.

whats ur opinion on the new staff

I’ll finally answer these as my inbox is filled with these..

Zeena - Up until recently, I didn’t really notice her at all. She and other mods weren’t really doing shit, but recently, she’s been doing somewhat good about it. She mostly goes unknown because she seems to just stick to the threads that are being bumped too often by the person who made it. Other than that, there isn’t much. I don’t see her anywhere else other than issuing trade thread warnings.

tarkeli - They do their job. But they really aren’t the best at it. They’ve been playing it safe with Zeena with the whole bumping issue. While there is a lot to cover, there still are more places to help out, but where they chose to is just not the best. When it comes to new discussion topics, just hope tarkeli skips yours. While doing good and closing spam threads, they have a bad habit of looping in perfectly fine threads with the idea that they’re not discussion topics, when they do have a subject and many points are open to be discussed and the ideas are to be further developed. I had high hopes for this person, but now I hope they’re the first gone.

Cerru - I honestly feel like she’s a bit of a hypocrite. While, once again, a mod playing it safe with dealing with the bumping issue, she herself contributes to it. She bumps and reposts her own shit almost just as much. If she or anyone else wanted to help that situation, they’d make reposting and bumping more strict with time.

Dama - I really wonder if the hiring person of CS notices anything about staff would leave and give up their position. Most, if not all, have to do with College and University. Most get too busy and can’t stay around. It’s not to say they can’t do, and they can’t manage time to get on, but it’s just reoccurring, and I’m amazed people still get hired when it’s known.

And while I’m on the topic of reoccurrances, let me repeat myself in saying they’re playing safe, because well, they are, once again with the bumping issue.

What the fuck is it with these new mods who are only going after someone bumping too often? I’ve come across so much shit lately on CS and I’m amazed that after a week or two, it’s still up there. A bunch of cussing, someone giving out their age, someone selling pets for DA points. - You know actually on that point, I’ve seen a mod post on that topic, but you know what about? That’s right, Bumping. Oh, but pets for DA Points? 100% Okay, fine by me, nothing wrong here, never has there been a time that mods/admins had to address this harshly because they’ve stated many times that you can’t do that.

These people are unknown, and they know fucking nothing. They don’t join discussions, they don’t and haven’t been in any, as you can see from their shit’s worth of posts. They address the easiest of things because they’re too afraid to actually do the shit they were hired for.., Oh but wait, one person decided to, and well, they fucked up. Several times. At least they tried, but then again, if you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing, don’t apply and let someone else do it.

I also will comment on what a lot of people pointed out, the lack of posts. Now how in the fucking hell would you think hiring someone who has been on the site and active the whole time but just barely has enough posts to fit in the criteria, was a good idea? This person isn’t active in the community. This person is not going around and trying to be involved. This person does not understand discussions nor is a part of any on the site. How the fuck were they a good choice? They’ve had a few years of running a club? They’re modding a site right now that doesn’t have the same user capacity that CS does, but still some experience? That’s just bullshit. If you’ve been around and know the site, you know what to look for and where to look for it. You know what to do. You see a mod is taking care of something, you don’t piggy-back off of it, you go else where and clean up the forums. You pay attention. You look for everything, not just settle on 1 of 5 thing someone did wrong.

Sorry for going on. The selection was just bullshit. I hope they either realize this isn’t what they’re able to do and leave, or someone of higher authority realizes their fuck-up and does something about it. Or maybe, the new mods drop the slack and do their job.

juice box. - Honestly, probably a good choice. They seem active with art communities and know what they’re doing. Although shitty choice in games, they’ll probably do good.

katsue - I don’t know really what to say for Oekaki mods. Usually people who post in Oekaki follow all the rules, so there never seems to be much going on. So we’ll have to see how it goes.

Zelery - They seem active in the Oekaki forums, so I think they’ll be looking out, but then again, not much goes on, so we’ll have to see. That’s all I really can say.

::madlyhazel - I’m not into the RP Community, so unfortunately I don’t have much to say, but I imagine they’ll be good.
