no bc commander tartar genuinely makes me a little sick to think about too much. the professor created a machine containing all of humanity's knowledge, achievements, failures, sins, and everything in between, all so that this could all be passed down to the next race. and this machine would be the thing to do it, and it would be destined for such great things, AND IT WAS ALL DONE OUT OF LOVE FOR HUMANITY AND LOVE FOR A SOCIETY THAT DIDN'T EVEN EXIST YET. and the machine was born entirely of this love. but then years and years of loneliness and grief shaped it into a being of both pure seething hatred and a "love" twisted beyond repair. so it spent the next century wallowing in resentment and doing everything that it wasn't made to do, hurting so many people, YET STILL MOTIVATED BY AT LEAST SOME OF THAT TWISTED "LOVE". and then, in the end, it was all for nothing, as it died the way it lived. full of hate. it never fulfilled its purpose. but that love it had from the start still showed itself as its final words.
