Task 37
Marilyn Monroe once said… “Fame doesn’t fulfill you. It warms you a bit, but that warmth is temporary”. Fame was something that had always been apart of Lucas’s life before he could even start walking or uttering his first word. It all started with his father, James Hendrix. Also known to most people as Jimmy. There’s never been a moment in his life that he wasn’t in the spotlight. However, no one really knew that Lucas was going to follow in his father’s footsteps, but he did. Along with his younger brother Noah North. Luckily his father never really pushed him to be in a band or play with musical instruments, he let Lucas follow his own journey. A journey that lead him to his first band with his younger brother called “Rat Mouse”. They were a small garage band that performed underground or during open mic nights and even little competitions for bands. It was also a reason why he never left London, especially after getting a scholarship to a college in the states. Staying behind was probably the best decision he’d ever made in his entire life, because not only did Rat Mouse grow and prosper, but fame became pretty much a way of life. There wasn’t nothing in Lucas’s life that stay hidden. Between interviews and tabloids his life was all out there in the open for everyone to see and read about whether they were lies or even have some kind of truth behind them. Fame was his everyday life. Now here he stood with a mic in hand, nerves fading quickly as he felt a hand on his shoulder turning he looked over at his brother who had his guitar in hand, “you ready bruv?” he heard his brother ask as he gave him a quick nod as he turned back to the open stage getting a small glimpse of the amount of people in the crowd. He could still remember their crowds being a small handful now it was nearly in the thousands. Often times he could admit it was still a bit nerve wrecking, especially knowing the journal he’d gone through just to get here. Between the alcohol, drugs, and failed marriage he almost lost himself and if it wasn’t for his younger brothers and his love for music and performing for his fans he would have lost himself, “lets do this,” he said as he patted his brothers back before the two of them headed out into the stage to start their performance.
