Recent research indicates pandas aren't interested in breeding because they're not attracted to the mates humans pick for them. Humans keep picking mates that are genetically most distant, and strategically optimal for saving the species. But it turns out pandas don't give a shit about strategy. When allowed to choose, pandas do show signs of attraction, and are twice as likely to mate and have babies. So sexual attraction /is/ important to pandas. They really don't like to mate without it.

I did now this about pandas. This is still fantastic.

Nwain is a super great comic cause it’s animated but also it’s html5 based so even though i, a poor person w a broken laptop, can read beautiful animated pages on my phone.

And it really is beautiful. Terry loves composition and perspective and is always fucking around w both. Its crazy how good it can get.

Also the world build is fun and also is done so subtly and woven so well into the story it isn’t really world building, it’s letting a story make a setting. Which I think is better.

I tend to let it lie fallow from time to time so I can read a lot at once. But I love the webcomic nwain so much.
