Back to the Egg:
fave lyric: this album doesn't have a ton of notable lyrics, but I do always smile at the rhyme in "Say you don't love him, my salamander / Why do you need him? Oh no, don't answer" as well as the way he changes his mind mid-song.
fave song: Again and Again and Again (sorry Paul)
song that makes me cry: this is not a particularly emotional album, but I suppose After The Ball comes the closest.
song that's a fucking bop: Arrow Through Me
song I least love: particularly hard to choose with an album like this; saying say Reception feels like a copout. I'm not a huge fan of Old Siam, Sir tho
McCartney III
fave lyric: "Dinosaurs and Santa Claus will stay indoors tonight" I think that's interesting, coming from an elderly person in lockdown who is also trying to stay relevant despite industry ageism.
fave song: Deep Deep Feeling, by a country mile. Career highlight, I'm not joking.
song that makes me cry: none. Deep Deep Feeling does put me in a Mood though, it's just more tense.
song that's a fucking bop: Slidin' is the only song on this album that would qualify as a bop, I'd say.
song I least love: Lavatory Lil is like... my least or second least favourite Paul song overall 💀💀💀
