adding to my "tracey/kelly is a lot like jack/claire" point, a parallel
(episode 12), where Tracey has this familiar/affectionate/antagonistic conversation with the defense attorney, (Ana), establishing that they knew one another/used to be friendly--
ana: you couldn't cut this kid some slack?
tracey: he killed someone. nice to see you again, Ana.
ana: yeah, nice to see you too. i'd shake your hand, but protocol.
tracey: (while watching her walk away) i understand.
kelly: (accusatorially) who's she?
tracey: she used to work here.
kelly: she was a prosecutor?
and it reminded me of jack/claire in re: sally bell in 5.09 of the mothership:
claire: So what was that all about?
jack: What was what all about?
claire: "Don't you know me by now?"
jack: Oh. Sally.
claire: Yes. Sally. Miss Bell, our opposing counsel?
jack: She was my assistant.
tldr, the number of little things they put in the show that scream like. "these two are together but not talking about it at work" is so high that it makes me wonder-- who is the secret lesbian who was in the writers room for this show?
