“It’s bold of you to assume we have one. Fine, we’ve known one another for a number of years, though perhaps known isn’t the best way to describe it. She’s been a friend of the family ever since I can remember. Upon arriving in Russia, we’ve had the chance to spend more time in one another’s presence, which had ups and downs much like any other friendship. At least that’s what I’m inclined to believe. And, ever since, I guess you can say we’ve become closer.”
