The Princess of Wales' Year in Review: February
February 2nd - The Duchess of Cambridge was announced at the new Patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, taking over the role from the Duke of Sussex. Later that day, she attended a rugby training session at Twickenham Stadium, befor holding a telephone meeting with Ralph Rimmer and Jon Dutton February 3rd - The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to visit the Future Textiles Project. That afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge, in her role as Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, held a Centre for Early Childhood Meeting February 4th - Kensington Palace announced the Duchess of Cambridge would be travelling to Denmark in late February, using a video of Catherine playing with LEGO to promote this. Later that day, Catherine was spotted shopping February 6th - Netmums, of all places, broke an embargo and leaked the news that the Duchess of Cambridge would be reading a story on CBeebies Bedtime Stories February 8th - The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, visited Parents and Communities Together Southwark. She later held a telephone meeting with Dr Sophie Mort, in her role as Patron of the Royal Foundation February 9th - The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, held a video meeting with Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. In the same role as Patron, she later held a video meeting with Andreas Rasch-Christensen (Research Director, VIA University College) and Mette Arnsfelt McPhail (Head of Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, Ministry for Children and Education of Denmark) February 13th - Catherine read a childhood favourite - 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' - on CBeebies Bedtime Stories February 22nd - The Duchess of Cambridge began her visit to Denmark in her role as Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. She departed Heathrow Airport, for Denmark and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Later, Catherine visited the Centre for Early Intervention and Family Studies, before visiting Bornemuseet: the Children’s Museum in Frederiksberg. Finally, Catherine visited the Lego Foundation PlayLab February 23rd - In her role as Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine visited Stenurten Forest Kindergarten. She then called upon The Queen of Denmark and The Crown Princess of Denmark at Amalienborg Palace. Later, the Duchess (accompanied by Crown Princess Mary) visited the Danner Crisis Centre. She departed Denmark and returned via Heathrow Airport February 26th - The Duke of Cambridge, in his role as Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, and The Duchess of Cambridge, in her role as Patron of the Rugby Football Union, accompanied by their son Prince George, attended the Six Nations Rugby Match between England and Wales at Twickenham Stadium
