Secret Boss. Final Boss. [closed]

It’s nothing unusual to see a short female first grader leaving the ladies’ room.

Although, it might get a bit weird if that room is inside the police headquarters where access is (supposedly) strictly monitored.

Some people might scratch their head in confusion if the said child in a lab coat was never seen entering the building, or the ladies’ room itself, to begin with.

Selected few will know said room also holds one of the secret entrances to Japan Meteorological Agency, Geomagnetism Research Department. Also known as JP’s.

Even less people would be aware of such a child’s identity, her relation to the police chef and the fact that she is on the aforementioned secret organization’s payroll. And for those people alone, such a sight would make sense.

Name of that child? Well... You may call her Haibara Ai. And she is currently leaving TCDF first floor ladies’ room at a leisure gait like she owns the place.

That Cruel Truth

Sitting contently at one of his favorite, local cafes, it wasn’t everyday that Gaen Kyouya could make time for something so casual. Head of the Gaen Financial Group, and young over taker of one of the most prominent gangs to walk this Earth, Kyouya had to be grateful for moments such as these where he could simply walk amongst the rest of the normal populace and settle down. In his company however, was the one that he revered rather dearly, the young Ryuuenji Tasuku. And although their history together had been rocky at best, there was no doubt that Kyouya’s feelings for him still lingered. Kyouya really did love Tasuku and showed it on many occasions, however straightforwardly. And thus, did he always go out of his way to stay in touch, even if it was only to satiate his own one-sided longing. Taking a sip of his lightly fragrant tea, calm crimson optics stared straight ahead, putting down the delicate china before offering a pleasant smile. 

“I’ve missed you quite dearly.. why the long face, Tasuku-kun?”

Life as they knew it was peaceful. Slow... but peaceful. As they contently made it throughout their days in the city of perpetual sundown, Aichi could say that he really had no complaints. Even if his memory was littered with unsettling holes.. Grabbing up a tote bag and slipping on his summer flats--the weather was finally warm enough to dress more lightly!--the elder turned to face Tasuku, whom was nibbling on some snacks whilst reading a text book for his big tests coming up.

“Tacchan.. hey, you wanna take a break and go out for a little while?”

For You.

He had returned for a number of reasons, but none of which were higher than to see through to some loose ends. He was a young man of his word, but more importantly, wasn’t above moving back to a smaller, less convenient city for the sake of those he owed. The transfer from Toshi back to Cho-Tokyo had been sudden, last minute to be exact, but with a business to maintain, Gaen Kyouya couldn’t stay in one place for long. Not when it’s reputation was as stake. But now he had a second chance to try again.

He remembered some hesitant farewells from before; one of which beckoned to salted thoughts of Tasuku. The younger had been left without a single soul he once knew, and yet was so ignorantly adamant about remaining in this place... just to finally see the person he longed to be with again. That person wasn’t Kyouya. It never would be) Admittedly, Tasuku was very much something equivalent to Kyouya’s first love--A twisted one born from an obsessive attachment of which remained to some extent. But they weren’t compatible on a healthier level, Kyouya knew that well. If not of a miraculous volition, then Tasuku could only fall to taint by Kyouya’s side. That was their venomous circumstance.  He could at least hold on to their bond. He wouldn’t throw it away. Tasuku was his first visit upon returning, showing up at his apartment without warning. Hopefully he wouldn’t come to mind the intrusion..

“Well, well.. So you’re still here, are you? Looking no worse for wear.”

Long Overdue

The two sole occupants of Marigold could finally return to some normalcy once old feelings were quelled. In fact, it was a little easier to smile, to laugh, and getting back into the groove of things, life was as peaceful as ever... Strangely so. Actually, on top of everything else, even Aichi had a difficult time remembering such an easy-going life.. but he couldn’t complain, of course. Another sleepy evening, another instance where Tasuku was almost begging for attention, Aichi now pressing his cheek against the plushy one beside him.

His Return

... It was as if he had been plucked from a certain point of the past and then placed in the middle of the present. Perplexed and mouth agape, Aichi remembered one second vividly--being in the midst of completing a chore of some sort?--and now, the next, standing in the middle of the busiest Market District intersection. It was noisy and startling, distracting his already swimming mind with a buzzing interference. 

“Eh...? .... Hunh?”

Looking to and fro, passerby just circling around his static self, what had been initial panic, was now just a dull and troublesome sense of confusion.  “What was I... doing just now?” It was... really strange. Really, really strange. Aichi couldn’t even remember what he had for breakfast this morning, or the names of blurred faces he was forcing to come to mind.  “...?” His head was just... empty.

Peace Treaty

From: Miwa Taishi To: Sendou Aichi Sent: 9 Nov 2014 Hey Aichi, let Fluffy know he can stop by to get his phone for real. No tricks this time. Figured he'd need it by now! :D

Closing down his phone, grey eyes wandered out the window. Around the time the younger students would be breaking up from school. For now, he'd taken time to think about what was ahead. For some reason, the subject had come to mind a lot recently. But there was a lot in the present troubling him.

Propped against the wall, tip of Miwa's thumb tapped the screen of his phone mindlessly. A grin sprung onto his face thinking about the last encounter with Alcor almost was weeks before. But the game was up; anyone would need their phone by now, and he hadn't dropped by to reclaim it.

"Maybe we scared him off a bit too good".

The thought of dinner crossed his mind; it was an excuse to venture out and get some air. Grabbing a coat just to be safe, he slung it over his shoulder, stepping out and locking the door behind him.

The trip to the store itself was simple enough; omelettes sounded like a decent plan for the night, so the ingredients collected were easy to fit into a single carrier bag to transport back.

He was crossing back through the park, he caught sight of the very person he'd been intending to meet up with. Though a rather gloomy somebody at that. Strutting over to the languishing one, Miwa tilted forward, hunched in front with a hopeful smile to raise his mood.

"Yo~ Just the guy I was looking for.           Hey, I'm not going to spook you this time, alright? So there's no need to head for the hills just yet".

This is a Hold-Up!

                                 Strutting along the street, evenings were closing in pretty early, so it was always straight back to Aster for Kamui after the completion of the school day. Not without its detours every now and again to push his luck. The apartment was always incredibly lax with Miwa the 'responsible adult' keeping him in check.

So under the streetlamps flickering on under the darkening sky, Kamui fiddled with one purchase he'd made from one of the toy shops, intended for fooling around with his flatmate. A toy gun with foam projectiles, chuckling to himself over the plan to barge into the apartment to see if he could spook Miwa with such a forceful and noisy entrance.

          What grabbed his attention soon after was the appearance of another familiar face, albeit looking far more downtrodden despite apparently being fine when Kamui had parted ways with him after class.

"Ah! Senpai" he chimed, raising the emptied hand (best not to wave around the plastic replica of a weapon with an officer around). The twisted expression caught his eye, drawing him in and inching closer with caution. "You okay? You're not looking so good".
