A little while ago I was yapping at my mootie @delusional-daydreamer18 (thank you for your patience!) about tcf from a science and world building pov and I thought I would also post it here
So what we do know about Nameless planet-
1.Felix would have to be pope of some god (GoD, sun god, etc) and it would be either a solar or a lunisolar calendar (kinda like our Gregorian calendar named after pope Francis Gregory VI) it could be the common calender kinda like the common language (do they even have that?) and i guess moguru and other kingdoms which worship the sun god would use the solar calendar.
2.It has a (1) moon similar to ours ie has size shape and distance similar to ours (or cale would have said something about it *sweats *)
3.The angle of planet's axis tilt is similar to earth because it has poles and have similar climate compared to ours
4. It has completely different gravity and/or oxygen levels to support full grown dragons flying and breathing fire.
5.Mana and mana related genes appear to be recessive in nature, also being a mage and using magic requires one to possess all the required genes Which implies that mages' bodies evolved to store and use mana.
6. Dead mana is probably created via same process as fossil fuels (petrol) this probably could be that every being has some amount of mana in them but mages and other magical creatures can harness it also there is a process which converts living(?) mana into dead mana
(speculation)7. Beastmen and normal animals probably evolved side by side and had a common evolutionary ancestor before they got seperated into two species but beastmen seem to follow the same evolutionary patterns as their animal counterpart (see evolution of whales for example) but that doesn't explain how they evolved to have human forms. Interesringly since they cannot consume mana potions it would suggest their bodies not built to house mana at all (which is where they got the idea of mana resistant individuals, via a gene mutation) but they have their berserk forms which according to their tribes' social personality and values and having different or opposite values (eg attack to defense mentality shift which happens to Lock ) causes to not being able to access said berserk form is a fair trade off ig..
8. The planet seems to have higher(? Idk) reserves of gold, silver and copper to make billions of coins and mana stones are probably sedimentary in nature
9. As mentioned in point 5 that each organism (apart from beastmen ig) has some amount of mana but mages can use mana around them ie. via mana stones and channel them via magic staffs but dragons on the other hand use the mana stored inside them to do magic (which is why mages worship them so much, because they can kinda instinctively do magic and channel mana but it is a conscious effort to do so for a mage)
10.Mixed species children can only survive if the amount of mana in both the parent species is similar enough (human and beastman (eg.pasteon, also being a half beastman caused his whale form to be smaller for some reason) ) because half dragons can't survive to adulthood due to this exact reason
11.Mana usage is a recessive gene (kinda like blond hair blue eyes physical features)
Also mana resistance also seems to increase physical resistance to natural forces (see toonka) also half mages only exist as a offspring of a mage (culmination of all the recessive genes that require to use mana) and mana resistant individual(which exist due toa gene mutation) and have only half the characteristics of a mage (eg. Sensing mana but unable to use it) due to their unstable genes
12.Dead mana seems to have solid form which sublimates under special conditions of its surroundings (gorge of death and it's red sand, the refraction of light in dead mana causes the sand to look red during the day but makes sand look like black due to less refraction and darkness at night) and artificially created or dead mana created in peat bogs (the swamp in forest of darkness) are in liquid state which evaporate into gas form (see chapter in which Cale supplies dragon's dead mana to Alberu)
13.World tree can't sense people with ancient powers probably because they get the closest to nature and smell like nature (like cale) so I am saying is that world tree gets smell blindness and the ancient power Annual Rings of Life seems to stem from world tree's power of (albeit limited) precognition (also I wish the world tree was a rainbow eucalyptus tree instead of a boring nettle tree because they are so goddamn flammable)
