Remember that exclave region of Angola? Well, the Cabinda Province has been declared an independent republic, and like many other unrecognized self-declared republics, there is a good deal of cause for its legitimacy, not least of all the fact that the oil reserves held there make it highly improbable Cabinda will ever be relinquished by Angola without a good deal of bloodshed.
