I’ve been thinking about the hockey bros way too much over the past few days, here’s my scattered thoughts lol

In Raj’s elimination, I do think it makes more sense for Wayne to be the one more visibly upset. In s1, Raj did kind of come into his own. He maintained a relationship without Wayne, discovered his identity, become more confident, and more into his own person. Of course this does not mean that him and Wayne or any less close, or growing apart, but they’re growing up, and Raj discovering who he was and getting into a relationship was part of growing up. Wayne didn’t really have that, he was there to cheer Raj on, but didn’t do a whole lot of growing himself. Raj is content with their friendship and content being without him (doesn’t mean it’s good or he prefers being alone, just means he can be without Wayne for a short period of time and still be satisfied), thus why he wasn’t sobbing, but comforting his friend and letting him know it was okay. It’s okay to be alone sometimes. Wayne hasn’t ever been alone- by their conversations it seems like Raj has never been in a relationship prior to Bowie, they’ve been lifelong friends, and they were eliminated together in s1. This is probably Wayne’s first real time being separated and that’s why he takes it so much harder compared to Raj.

also lowkey this is why I believe Wayne being the finalist over Raj makes more sense, he accomplished something himself and came into his own (esp during the penultimate episode where he was facing all his fears haha), with Raj cheering him on in the finale.
