Today is a lil heartbreaking for me. I was pretty much introduced to anime, Daft Punk & House Music around the same time in 2001. A lot of us might've had this same experience with the "One More Time" music video from forever ago;
I vaguely remember watching Toonami (probably Dragon Ball Z ) and during a commercial break a music video came on with a bunch of blue people playing what I didn't realize at the time was House. I was hooked & it helped broaden my musical taste that day moving forward. They've influenced/collabed with so many dope artists; Kanye, Pharrell, The Weeknd etc. Also 🏆6-TIME GRAMMY Award winners!
Anyway they're calling it quits after 28 YEARS of 🔥 & I think it's impressive as hell how well they've stood the test of time, especially in America, where our musical taste is ever-changing. The full movie that the music video is from, Interstella 5555 [1h5m], is still on the internet. I'll have it linked in the replies if anybody cares 😂
