2. New fandom?? Woah love but I saw the AN at the end and I wanted to ask if you’re permanently done with chili? I went to tumblr and twitter for more info (sorry about all the weirdos who harassed the other creators and you btw that’s absolutely awful) and I’m so happy you found a ship that made you wanna write again!!! I’m sad to see the Zhongchi era end if it is truly gone forever, but I’ll probably keep reading your new fics even if I don’t know anything about the ship bc I just love your writing lol

Aww hello Anon this is such a sweet message! I'm honestly not sure if I am done with zcl or not. I still love them as a ship and I'll probably ask someone to tldr me with what happens if they end up reuniting in the next patches. Childe is still very special to me; he helped me work through a lot of things through my writing, and I would love to say yes I will definitely come back and finish where I left off.

But I'm honestly really really happy in this little corner I've found myself in here. I think over time, fandoms change, especially for big ships and fandoms. A lot of old friends faded out, and my community just didn't feel the same as the golden era around 2023/2024ish. I still love everyone there, but it's just different now, and I think I was always chasing that nostalgia, and it was beginning to feel a bit... I'm not sure of the word... unfulfilling? Like something was missing? Then I took a break from Genshin because a rl friend was going through some stuff and needed my time, and after I realised I didn't really miss it. 😔 I'm already fast warming to this little community here and it's starting to feel like home.

So I'm not sure. I'd like to finish them, but my heart isn't in the fandom right now, especially after how some people behaved to other authors...

I hope you'll enjoy the new fics though! It's pretty easily to understand and follow the world compared to Genshin haha (And I would recommend getting into it if you have time - there are so many amazing characters to love. I wasn't planning on getting into it but I started playing the main story for diamonds and Mayoi climbed out of the ceiling like the silly wet cat man he is and my brain said "I will call you Squishy and you will be my Squishy". Then Niki slow-burned his way to my heart too and here I am 😅)

i also recently got into enstars and honestly…the fandom doesn’t seem to be super busy for ANY of the characters 😭 i fear i’ve been spoiled by hoyoverse and other games that are more mainstream/popular. i got here and i was like…….is this fandom dead?? is there Anyone who likes the game and posts art or theories or just talks about it?? it’s so sad, i’ve found like 2 people maybe 😔 i’ve never really posted anything on my blog but im slowly inching towards the ‘Make the content you want to see’ side…

I know! The active people seem to lean a bit younger too, so I feel like I'm going to enjoy the game and characters in a slightly different way from most of the crowd on top of that. 😔 But you're right - I think I'll probably just yap about what I like and see who else shows up to join in!

I was in the mood to read Childe and Zhongli and I tried and tried to find new things, even more popular fics.. but it was just not it for me. Wound up rereading a ton of your stuff and let’s just face it, you’re the one who gets them.

Sorry this reply is so late I have just been chronically offline this year 😩 But thank you! Even though I'm not really writing any more, it means so much that people are still reading my stuff 🥹 But there are definitely people who are still active who write them similar to, if not better than I can, so I hope you will be able to find someone to carry the torch for me in your heart. ☺️

Ah, I've just always heard it's appropriation. Same with wearing stuff that has sugar skulls on it, for example. However, I've had a Native tell me that dream catchers are okay to have if it's made by an actual Native, not that factory-made BS.
