rory’s favourite time of year is autumn without a doubt. every year when it comes around, she feels like she’s opening her favourite book again from the start. she is obsessed with dragging lorelai to stores to buy new notebooks and pretty sweaters, she also loves the smell in the air and all the leaves turning gold
i feel like if rory could live anywhere in the world except for stars hollow, she would choose to live in boston or maybe north adams. she would adore the little winding roads and the old houses and she would also like going to the bookstores in between cafes. and tying in with the previous headcanon, she would love seeing the autumn leaves on the tree-lined streets
her favourite way to waste time, without a doubt, is wandering through bookstores. even without any intentions of actually buying any books, she would stay in there for a couple hours reading the blurbs and making a mental reading list
rory’s favourite music is eclectic indie and alt rock, all thanks to lane, of course. her music taste goes far from what people would usually expect. her favourites are the shins, the decemberists, the killers, and arctic monkeys!! she plays whole albums while she studies
her best childhood memories come from nighttime when she was little, lorelai would read bedtime stories to her and used to do voices and put on performances
one time, she was in the same room at the same time with dean, jess, and logan. she left town for a week
she has a couple nervous tics like tapping her pencil against her notebook, rearranging her bookshelf, drinking coffee more than usual, and she re-reads the same sentence over and over
to calm herself down she will read her favourite book in luke’s with her coffee, and then take a walk around stars hollow to later watch a movie with lorelai
she has nightmares quite often, when she has them she has to turn on her lamp and make a cup of coffee and read. sometimes she goes into lorelai’s room and stay with her the whole night
her most prized possession is indeed her book collection, she remembers exactly where and when she got all of them
if there was one thing rory couldn’t live without, it’s coffee
one time rory and paris got into an argument about what the most important sense is, and rory argued that sight is the most important sense because reading allows you to delve into your imagination and see things from so many different perspectives

if she only had one day left to live she’d spent it with lorelai, lane, emily, richard, and literally everyone in stars hollow. she would probably order the whole menu at luke’s and go to the movies. nothing extravagant since she’d want it to feel safe
if she met a genie, her three wishes would be: to travel everywhere she’s ever dreamed of seeing, unlimited time to read every book on her list, and for the people she loves to always be happy and cared for
^ rory would never wish to be immortal as since she’s a lover of stories, she knows every story needs an ending and she doesn’t want to live forever and watch everyone she loves disappear
