Stark forces Rogers to apologize to Law...
Well folks, its been one hell of a week on the Bachelor, what with Rogers rallying the contestants to team up on Law. Let’s just hope their next interaction goes better than their last...

Oh my fucking god...

Just a brief reason why Yours Truly is ridiculous
So, for the open spot in Jude's team, I've settled on Snorlax; it's undergoing its trial run right now.
But that's not why I'm ridiculous.
I'm ridiculous because I forgot to save before facing the first Snorlax and ran out of Pokeballs and had to run, and then I spent three hours running around earning money and beating up a Gym Leader (Erika went down without a fuss, woot woot!) so I could get about 47 Pokeballs and 28 Great Balls. I remembered to save this time.
It took another grueling hour--I timed it, it was an hour (partially because I was also checking my Tumblr but ssshhhh)--for the Snorlax to finally just submit already. He took out Magnus the Wartortle and Paisley the Parasect before he went down (and on its last Headbutt, which took Paisley out, he finally got a taste of her Effect Spore...but it put him to sleep. AUGH). He was down to using Struggle before finally--FINALLY--he went in his Pokeball quietly.
In-game, his name is Manny, but in-story, say hello to Gertie the Snorlax, who is large, adorable, and wears a pink ribbon with white polka-dots on her ear.
Also got the Eevee. In-game, a male named Mal, but in-story, it's gonna be Melody the Flareon. Didn't luck out with the genders this time, I'm afraid, but that's what storytelling is for. I taught Mal Attract just for the heck of it and watched him charm the leaves off of Erika's Pokemon. It was awesome. I've never used Attract in-game before, but it's quite amusing.
ANYWAY. Rambling done, for now.
Just a brief reason why Parasect is Awesome
Because once I taught Paisley the Parasect Dig, she dominated Lt. Surge. I am so proud of my bb.
You should all use Paras/Parasect, because they are INCREDIBLE
Writing Whining: Trouble Teams
Sooooo, as many of you might know, I have some character teams who...well...they're my problem areas. Some of them started that way, some of them have become that way, but all of you unfortunate people get to listen to me whinewhinewhine.
Lucky y'all.
NOT A Liveblog, Mostly Info-Dump: FireRed
So my good friend and talented artist Busterella sent me her FireRed version (thank you bb), and I'm finally getting to play Jude Larch's character run.
A quick breakdown of the team:
Magnus. Spunky and clever, reacts instinctually and sometimes ignores Jude when he feels he knows a better way (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't). The "big brother" type.
Ansell. Serious and straight-laced, most like Jude and therefore follows every order to the letter. Protective of his teammates, especially the one immediately following...
Paisley (because she has an irregular pattern on her 'shrooms). Sweet and innocent, a good hard worker and cheerful to a fault. Also cute as heck and a surprising tank, why did no one tell me Paras was such a boss?
(And, later on: Melody ??? Jackie)
Mostly some random thoughts from gameplay:
Seriously, WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME EARLIER HOW AWESOME PARAS/PARASECT IS? Paisley is wiping the floor with people left and right!
Though I notice Ansell gets more critical hits in when he has to switch into a battle Paisley was losing. Aww. BFFLs.
I kind of like the Wartortle look, actually. So fabulous.
So in-game Gary/Rival is much more of a buttwipe than I remember. XD Most of those traits are going to the Secondary Rival, actually; Jude is taking more after Green/Blue/whatever the heck his name is. Cool under fire and serious.
omg no he's mako
Everyone, take note that playing Pokemon is much more fun when you have an epic soundtrack going in the background. My preferred station: Lord of the Rings on Pandora. It's awesome wiping Nugget Bridge while the music from the Mines of Moria/Balrog sequence is playing.
I think Ansell was the first Pokemon Jude got, now that I think about it; Melody the Eevee was second and a gift from Professor Oak...and Magnus was caught wild. No sunglasses, though. ;) Very few of the starters overall are caught wild; I think most of the Kanto ones were (Rick the Charizard by Team Rocket, Magnus the Blastoise by Jude, Mama the Venusaur caught a wild Skylar); the Johto ones came from the Professor; the Hoenn ones came from different places (Spike the Torchic was a wild capture who got passed into a Pokemon Shelter and ended up being a Battler for the Trainers' School; Evan the Mudkip came from Professor Birch; Tex the Treecko was a wild capture); the Sinnoh ones all came from Professor Rowan, and so did the Unova starters but from Juniper. Hmm. It appears I lost all creativity once I hit Gen 4. XD
It's interesting figuring Jude's character out; he was one of the first characters I came up with, but I haven't had a chance to get in his head very often. I tried playing his run, but I got mixed up between Jude and Skylar and ended up playing Skylar's run with a mixture of Jude and Skylar's Pokemon...with Squirtle as the starter. Embarrassing much? Yes. Yes it was. Extremely problematic, since I didn't check my list until almost all the way through the game and realized I'd done it wrong. :D
My tentative plan for Jude was to be the next Pokemon Professor (hence the tree last name)...so far he hasn't bucked it, but I'm wondering what he'd study as a Professor.
Anyway. Gotta go now, but thanks for sticking around, if indeed you have!
