With Team Rocket blocking access to the Saffron Gym, our objective now is to drive them out of the city.

But what are they up to?

Ah, still seeking something something world domination something something Pokemon. We should have known.

They must be after some advanced technology like the ghost-identity-revealing Silph Scope we retrieved from the Rocket Hideout in Celadon City. We must stop them!

Unfortunately for Team Rocket, unlike his colleagues guarding far less important buildings, this guy is sleeping on the job.

I saw someone point this out somewhere, but Archer and Ariana are basically just Jessie and James. Archer and Ariana were introduced without names in Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal, appearing as Team Rocket admins. One was a male admin with a Weezing and the other was a female admin with an arbok.

With Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver, these two finally got names. Archer and Ariana. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but the two A names...it's alliteration. Almost as wonderful alliteration as Jessie and James, which are two J names. And then...well, c'mon. Look at them and tell me they don't look similar.

So I think Archer and Ariana are just Jessie and James, if Jessie and James were more cutthroat and higher in the ranks of Team Rocket. Well, that and Archer and Ariana don't have a talking meowth.

The fact that TR cared enough to give the smaller/lighter-weight Pokemon smaller backpacks for their rations and the bigger/heavier-weight Pokemon bigger (human-sized!) backpacks for the camping exercise... I thought it was just Nyasu (Meowth) at first...
