I've seen a lot of you shading Duncan the past couples of days saying that he didn't deserve to win, his song wasn't good etc.

Let me tell you something... I personally loved "Arcade". It was simple. Just a guy doing what he loves. Dedicating this song to a friend that's not with him anymore... Eurovision is a SONG contest. The singing should be what really matters and not the staging part.

But far from that Duncan with his win a week ago gave me strength. I'm bisexual just like him , deep in my closet. When he came out on that huge stage and win this for us all my heart literally explode. It meant so much to me so see him up there. He gave me strength. He gave me courage. He became some sort of a rock for me. I cried because he gave me voice. Duncan became my role model in just a night. Not because he's fancy, not because he's rich but because he is who he is and he's not ashamed. Thinking of Duncan I know NOW that someday I'll manage to tell my family about my sexuality. And that I own it to him. He gave me the push.

Duncan Laurence I know you'll never see this but for me you're on of the most important people in my life. Thank you for everything you've done for me. You are a true inspiration and never stop doing what you love.

Literally everyone on Tumblr hating on The Netherlands ??

Like if anyone looked a little into it, he worked so hard, put a whole emotional life/ load into the song, hAS A GREAT VOICE, one of the better in the competition this year, worked his ass off when he didn't get througj the dutch Voice and went to study at the Rock Academy to improve himself, and HE DID GET A LOT OF PUBLIC VOTES. without the jury it would've probably been Norway but not even Italy so please can we stop hating on The Netherlands and Duncan Laurence who brought Eurovison back to The Netherlands after 44 years WITH and amazing song and voice? Thankyou. I'm so happy for him and would love to at least not see only hate here?
