lol step up next level 2 a cassock
Right? Though personally I’m not a fan of the purple cassocks that some of the bishops wear, but he’d certainly look much better in a black cassock with purple piping.
That's also present in the Coptic orthodox tradition. One explanation I heard recently is the commandments didn't change but the symbol of what cleanses us did. But if that's true then why did St. Paul receive the vision of the animals? And if that's true, why don't we still view circumcision as the sign of God's covenant. I've also heard though that other jurisdictions don't hold with that
Thanks very much for your answer :) It definitely is something to think about!
My priest told me one of the reasons was that, back-in-the-day, women who were menstruating would get blood all over the church floor and so they just did not attend church. He quickly added though that this didn’t mean menstruating women could receive the Eucharist or touch any of the holy items even though bleeding in the church is no longer a concern.
Me: destruction is a form of creation.
Teamsoftserve: oh not this bullshit again. Everyone's thoughts 100% of the time
Might also depend on what liturgy you use. Copts use Sts. Basil, Gregory, Cyril/Mark, and all three call for it. My understanding is that the restriction is for prostrations of repentance, but not prostrations overall. When you greet a bishop, you should kneel no matter the day, for example, or when entering the altar, during confession, or even during the liturgy like you mentioned. So, in short, if it's for repentance, that's for the weekdays, while other prostrations are a go
Ohh, fascinating! Thank you very much :)

Thank yououououououo!!!
teamsoftserve said: You can get the cord from craft stores like Michael’s and there’s a great ten minute video of how to make them
I tried before and got bad material. Do you have any specific brand names/cord types from Michael's that I can specifically ask for? Thank you :D
