4, 7, 13 for the asks! :)
4. favourite dish specific for your country?
you can’t ask this to a French girl, like that’s fucking torture. my fave food is fresh-out-of-the-oven baguette, OBVIOUSLY, but my fave dish? idk man, probably poule au pot (hen with rice and carrots, basically), made by my grandparents? it’s said to have been Henri IV’s fave dish, so it’s as traditional as can get I guess. also, French cuisine is the best and I will fight anyone on it.
7. three words from your native language that you like the most?
it’s really hard because I speak it everyday and can’t really choose what sounds best / has the most beautiful meaning? so i’ll just go with some things from the top of my head: sacrebleu (because @spacefloozy), crétin (idiot), temps (time). I’m kind of pissed at myself for not finding anything better because I fucking love French and I’m sure there are better words out there but well. it’s late. (have you noticed French people are proud little shits? or maybe that’s just me lol)
13. does your country (or family) have any specific superstitions or traditions that might seem strange to outsiders?
it’s probably not solely a French thing, but I know the “never be 13 seated at a table” rule is pretty respected here. and idk if it counts as a tradition really but we have a shit ton of roundabouts literally everywhere and at least one church in every village, most of the time centuries old. I told you we’re proud little shits, very appreciative of our history. other than that… I don’t think so.
Thanks for asking hun :) and sorry for the long, mostly useless answers
Ask me something about my country :D
