ICYMI: @teamtotzek gave the undefeated Italians quite a chase at the #ECC2022 earlier today. The 3 vids showcase highlight reel worthy shots & great teamwork. LOL “Plan A the lucky way” 😂 I know it’s a bummer my Germans couldn’t pull off the win, but nevertheless, I am so proud of how they’ve done so far. Both the loss to SCO & ITA were in tight, close games. My Adings are hanging in there against the medal favorites. Going into the event my ideal situation was a SWE v GER final because by now we all know I love the Germans the most after the Swedes. With the way things are going, SWE & GER might be fighting over that last playoff spot at the end of the week. If they finish w/ the same records it’ll come down to LSD which I believe is on SWE’s side, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I’m just glad my Germans are the silver lining to this event - I’m going through massive Nik Edin withdrawal & no patch can help (that’s a dad joke). Bummed that Germany’s run at #WMxCC2022 ended w/ a loss in the QF to Scotland. They were undefeated up until that point, and I was really hoping for a Germany vs Sweden final. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Happy I got to see my Germans competing these past few days, especially since Josh isn’t part of the regular Team Totzek lineup this season. Poor Joshi swept a lot this week, I got exhausted just watching him. Similar to little bro Magnus, I think the photographers like Josh - there’s only 2 Team Germany pics in the WCF FB album so far and he’s in both of them LOl. . . I finally found out which month @sixten.totzek skip of @teamtotzek will be for the 2023 Curling Cares Calendar thanks to the latest 2 Girls and a Game podcast episode *drumroll please* Let’s now all refer to 610 as #MrMarch 👏 I guess I’ll get to look at him for an entire month leading up to my birthday next year. Given Lori & Mary’s reaction in the unboxing episode of the podcast and the comment about German touches, my guess is that 610 is shirtless wearing lederhosen smiling while holding a beer stein in the middle of a lake (the German male curlers have a history of stripping off their clothes & jumping into a body of water during/after a bonspiel #IYKYK ). This #beer #stein from Germany didn’t come in time for me to use it as one of my #TeamTotzeKapp props at the #Oktoberfest cash spiel. I’m hoping I get to use it for a cosplay photo shoo or something this coming month for Halloween. I can’t in good conscience wear the dirndl while curling even w/ the new shirt I got because I’d freeze as skip, and I’m not sure I can get away w/ wearing it to work for Halloween, but maybe there’ll be something… because the cosplayer in me is like BRUH I even got a wig 😂😭 . . Wishing @teamkapp.roehrs good luck and good curling in Prague this weekend. They’re undefeated so far in the games they’ve played and are racking up the points.
