Setting: Pomona’s office, the day after the duel
Pomona did not think, in all her years as a head of house, that she had ever been as embarrassed by a student as when Kingsley Shacklebolt came to tell her that Ted Tonks had been involved in a duel. She expected better from Ted, honestly; he was one of the boys she thought had his head on straight and to hear this . . . well, it was disappointing. She told Ted to come to her office and tried to come up with a plan but honestly, she didn’t know what to do so she decided just to wait and see how things went. When he stepped into her office, she waved at the chair across the desk from her, frowning. “Ted. Would you care to elaborate on what exactly went on last night?”
