(TASB) elected its 2018–19 officers during the Association’s recent annual Delegate Assembly and Convention in Austin. New TASB President is James de Garavilla of Silsbee ISD Lee Lentz-Edwards of Kermit ISD - president-elect. First VP Jim Rice of Fort Bend ISD and second vice-president is Ted Beard of Longview ISD.

He also serves as Chair of the TASB Risk Management Fund Board
