I feel like a lot of people just don’t care about anyone besides themselves. At school when we try new activities, adults from the organizing group always propose to add a reward for the participating students (and it also always gets done because *they* are the ones making the last decision).

Every time I ask “Why? Can’t students just do that and try to make the world a better place?” (We usually hold a charity day for the kids with cancer, along with other cool stuff)

And they always answer unanimously “But they wouldn’t take part of it. Who would there be? You, 5-6 other people? It is not enough.”

So yeah, when are doing activities during the day or on lunchbreak, there always has to be a prize, some sort of reward, ‘cause “why the hell would we participate if we don’t get anything in exchange to prove we are good people?”

And I feel this also happens in real life politics and just the world in general.

Some are willing, but those who have the funds and the resources don’t care unless they can get something *interesting* back
