New colors coming soon with in the Long String relaunch! Stay tuned.
I’m soooo close to debuting the new Cluster necklaces in the also new online shop I’ve been building. This was from my recent photo shoot (post bee attack). I have some new bags to sew up and photograph. After that, I’ll be set to launch. Subscribe to the newsletter for the official announcement.
Clearance sale! As I transition into making more cluster necklaces and narrowing my color palette, all my one of a kind Long String of TeePearls pieces are marked down 50% to $10 each. Every one still comes with a matching pouch made from the sleeve of the same tee shirt as the necklace. Check out the colors available in the Etsy shop.
Concentrating my efforts this year on these dudes. I'm in the process of tracking down some new materials to make the necklaces a bit more consistent. In the meantime, if you'd like a custom color, just get in touch through etsy.
Besides the possibility of a couple short events, this past Sunday at SOWA marked the last scheduled fair event for TeePearls this year. I'll hopefully have a special holiday offering up in the shop by November and more items delivered to local stores.
I came across a set of photos from December 2011 at Snow Mall. This was one of my first markets and a great introduction to local fairs. They've really helped me to hone in on what products I should focus on and what should be phased out. Speaking of discontinued pieces, there are only two lace necklaces still available (I sold the other two at SOWA this weekend).
It feels strange to already be planning for December, but a lot of people were holiday shopping this weekend. I do custom orders as well, so check out the shop and let me know if there's a color and style you have in mind for someone on your list.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table at SOWA yesterday, both those I knew and those I met Sunday. It was nice talking with everyone and I ended up getting a few leads for future TeePearls sales opportunities. Special thanks to Laura for letting me share a tent with Pansy Maiden. I had fun talking with her customers, too.
I'll be at the Somerville Armory on the 19th with a top secret project for Trash Bash AND I just found out that I'll be selling TeePearls there as well. You can get tickets here. I'll be back at SOWA on the 26th.
TeePearls have been keeping me pretty occupied. I'll be selling them at SOWA for the first time this Sunday, May 5th.
It's a HUGE deal for me. I have a lot of different crafty interests, but SOWA inspired me to give selling a shot. All the vendors are enthusiastic, friendly, and open to offering advice. The huge crowds the market draws are also encouraging. With that many people milling around, you're bound to have at least one person who is interested in your work.
I'll be occupying a corner of Laura's tent (Pansy Maiden). I helped Laura out last year with some enewsletters and she was nice enough to think of me for SOWA. I knew with Laura's seasoned SOWA setup, I'd have to step up my displays. Along with picking up odds and ends at craft stores and vintage shops, I worked with Brooklyn based CHIAOZZA on this custom display frame. They do awesome work and adapted their normal wall-hung frame into this freestanding, easily disassembled piece for me to use at fairs.
Follow me on instagram to see all my final SOWA prep in the next few days and hopefully exciting projects to come.
I bought TeePearls.com. Even though I don't feel like I need a separate site, it's good to have the domain. I post a lot on Facebook and keep my Etsy shop up to date, but I have some exciting things coming up this summer. It would be nice to have a branded space online that reflects the image I want rather than the generic Facebook and Etsy layouts.
I'm looking into some Wordpress classes that would result in having a site built at the end, so I might create one for TeePearls. It's always easier to design with real content rather than something totally hypothetical.
