So I am going to try DnD in college for the first time
And i want someone's opinion if this character I'm creating will work.
His name is Teiradon
(last name pending)
He's a orc bard.
His backstory is that when he was a very young baby orc he ended up being found in a river half drowned by a secluded village.
And after they fished him out of the river the villagers didn't really know what to do with him because he is obviously an orc but he's also a baby.
So eventally he ends up raised by this old couple who take him in as one of their own.
And he spends most his life helping out around the village and entertaining the young kids with music (idk what instrument he would be able to play if someone could help with that).
The thing is the Villagers never quite told Teiradon that he's an Orc.
Like he knows that he's a little different from everyone else but as far as Teiradon is concerned he's just a clumsy weird looking human.
And his dnd story would begin when one of the villagers let it slip that Teiradon's parents are not his birth parents.
So he eventually decides that he wants to learn about his Heritage and where he came from and leaves the village.
Without the knowledge that he's an orc.
I want Teiradon to be chaotic good.
He's very kind and loving and maybe a bit dimwitted and sheltered from his upbringing.
But he has the tendency accidentally break stuff and if you somehow push one of his buttons to the point of making him truly mad he will forget his manners and will try to beat you to death with his fists in pure rage.
He has to be snapped out of his anger by a friend or if he notices there's childeren nearby.
(He hates scaring childeren)
I just now really fleshed out his character so idk if he would even work in a dnd session let alone a campaign.
But I still really love him.
He's like my little dorky orc son and I am really attached to his concept.
Is this what it's like to have a fleshed out oc?
