i have a couple more things planned for this AU btw but the base idea is that heihachi runs a cursed carnival and everyone (in the tekken 8 cast at least) works there

Asuka and Lili are part of Jin's friend group, and he and Xiaoyu hang out with them a LOT. (I am a SUCKER for Asulili JinXiao friend group - I call them Plane Group cause they were on a plane together in canon.)
Asuka is an acrobat so she's the one doing all the cool air tricks and backflipping from high places and whatnot. She's a lot more stoic (and stronger) than canon Asuka.
Lili is a showgirl so she spins batons, helps with magic tricks, and mostly just acts as an accessory to other peoples' acts.
And as for ASULILI!!
Lili has a massive crush on Asuka, who doesn't know she does. In the picture I drew for Asulili day, Asuka just got done with practice for the day and was venting to Lili about how tired she was.
