If a Landsknecht tellerbarret goes through a metamorphosis first it wil shead it's feathers, then acquire new ones. The new, fancier feathers needs to be tied together in pairs or in some cases three piece at a time. Addattional shaping of the feathers may or may not happens.
Then in this case it starts to grow some additional layer on the brim and for a briefe period of time one could think it's for some very fashionable japanese guy
but at the end of the growing process this additional layer will curl up and rippen in proper landsknecht fashion.
Only time will tell how will be the feathers attached to the hat...
