OC tober Day Three: Duel
It was a picturesque night. The moon hung high in the sky, surrounded by a perfectly ink black sky, sprinkled with a spare few stars. The streets beneath were lit with warm street lights, as flashing TV screens and flickering candlelight shone through the windows. Between both of these worlds, of the streets and the skies, were two people, staring each other down.
OCtober Day Twenty Three: Stars
Bec's sleep schedule was atrocious. The mix of a nocturnal and diurnal instincts meant that sleep was sporadic. Sometimes she could wake up in the morning and go to bed at night, sometimes it would be just the opposite. But, most of the time, she would fall asleep at random, and wake up at odd times. It was the middle of the night, and she had just woken up.
As Bec staggered to her feet, she noticed something was different. She wasn't alone tonight. Sitting at the mouth of her cave, above the treetops and building roofs, was Telley.
"...Tells?" Bec mumbled with a weak voice. Telley turned her head slightly and gestured for Bec to join her. While she was confused, she did sit next to her.
"It's...hard to see the stars in the city. You can see 'em best out here, far away from all that crap." Telley explained in a soft voice. She was staring up at the sky, a gentle smile on her face.
"Yeah...but, I thought you liked the city?" Bec asked.
"I mean, sure, I do. But sometimes, it can be a bit much, y'know? Blocks out everything on the outside, trapping you in it's own bullshit. You've gotta get out of there every once and awhile, or else you end up drowning in it all." Telley said. The smile dropped a bit.
By sitting so close, Bec could see how truly tired Telley was. Her voice had lost something that it normally had; a kind of power, energy, rebellious flare. Despite how little of her actual body Bec could see, Telley's dangling feet and still hands gave away her exhaustion. It seemed like the wind ran through her, rather than around.
"Yeah, I get it. It's a...busy place." Bec agreed.
Bec looked up at the stars. They were sprinkled across the sky, shining just enough to be seen, but not to illuminate much. The moon was out of sight, leaving the sky feeling strangely lonely. Bec could feel herself stiffening. She sat up straight and looked away, taking her gaze to the forest beneath them. The trees swayed ever so slightly in the wind.
There was silence for a long while. Bec felt a desperate need to speak, but no idea about what it even why. Telley continued to stare upwards. After a long while, Telley laid down on the cold stone beneath her, still watching the sky.
"Hey, Bec?"
"Yeah?"
Telley finally looked at Bec, who was sitting rigid and alert.
"The city is a busy place...it's loud...and it's distracting...but it's also full. It's full of people, places, things...it's hard to feel alone in the city."
Bec felt her shoulders fall and her jaw unclench. Telley's voice was low, smooth, and so quiet that most people probably wouldn't have heard her.
"You aren't...you'll never be alone. I promise, as long as me and Aaron and Xavier and your other buddies live, we'll be with you. We would never...we would never…leave you lonely…"
Bec didn't know when she started crying, but she could feel her tears fall from her cheeks to the stone. Telley's breathing deepened, and it was clear that she had fallen asleep. Bec just watched for a second, processing what had been said. After a moment, she wiped her tears, grabbed her pillow and blanket, and made Telley comfortable. Then, with one last look, Bec flew off into the starry sky, towards the city.

(for the OC Drawing Prompt ask game. pick and choose which ones you feel like doing lol)
Funny sketch page! we have Diara with a flower crown and her partner Telley, Philly and Carina species swap (and their younger selves) (Carina fursona by @windupaidoneus) and then a small Ernasald wearing Movie's clothes!
Top 5 (or 10) of your own OCs. Choose favorites, idiot /silly
how dare you. how DARE you! (/silly) okay these wont be in order because HOW DARE YOU but here are five OCs I like so much
Telley Taylor. one of my very very first OCs, the main character of the big original story I started in elementary school, I care her so much. Telley has grown alongside me, changed as I have, and has been a constant in my life since I first made her. I wont get super into her lore since it would involve a whole explanation of Rien Eclipse's world, but this isnt the first time I've talked about her on this blog and won't be the last.
Diara Espoir. Can't have one without the other, Diara is a character that has been around just as long as Telley, her partner and foil. Diara is another character I've carried with me from childhood, who's grown and changed just as much. Telley and Diara were characters I made just as I was coming to terms with the Lesbianism, and as such, their relationship has meant a lot to me. I love gay people this is a true.
Movie Starr. Probably the most recent character on the list, a very important character in my fanfuffle DUALWIELD. In a similar vein to Telley and Diara, Movie was made when I was starting with the Trans Masc Thing, and as such his role is very important to me. also, his arc in DW is one I'm really excited to write and I can't say too much without spoiling but I hope I can use him to hurt people <3
Philly. Funny doggy. I'm putting more butch furries into the world and no one can stop me. moon's relationship with Carina is so sweet, and I love being able to build off of discussions about her with other fanfuffle folks. She's the most collaborative characters here, someone built off my love for my friend's OCs and made stronger for their love of her.
Ernasald Sykurwyn. FFXIV is a good game did yall know this. Ernasald is probably the player character I've grown most attached to in a game, in large part due to the friends I've been playing this game alongside and the larger modding community who have helped build him into my near exact vision. Slowly building his personality and backstory over the course of playing through MSQ, its a way of building characters I havent done before but have really enjoyed.

For The Ask Game: Telley and Diara, 33, 38, & 60
33. What are one of their fondest and more cherished memories?
The first night they could go out together, after Diara left the palace. They went out to a night market, long after the search for the lost princess had died down, and were able to act like a real couple for the first time in public. Telley got Diara to try new foods and meet some people, while Telley themself was able to feel some semblance of normalcy for once.
38. What do they do or where to they do when they need to feel comfortable and safe?
To eachother. Doesnt matter where, so long as the other is there. If they cant get to eachother, Telley will go somewhere isolated and high up, somewhere she can see everyone and no one can see her. Diara, meanwhile, will also isolate, but moreso into a small, enclosed area, like a closet or her bedroom.
60. If they were to commit a crime, what crime would it be?
Telley is thievery. Diara is either assault or murder, assuming she can get her hands on the right person.
yknow what? why not throw your own OCs at you. Telley and Diara for the ship ask game
:,] gay people from my brain. Beloveds.
