Okay so... I need to talk about this. I need to type about my lore. Idfk if somebody finds it and spoils them self in the future if I ever make a comic about the Temmie AU (work shopping the name rn) I just need to say it. 😔
Here's my copy and paste about the backstory of my version of King Multiverse. It's probably inaccurate to both characters (ESPECIALLY Error 404), but this is because everything I know of them are from the Alphatale wiki. (Which I've heard is extremely outdated!) And even then I haven't read much. I just love them. So without further ado, here's the warnings:
Abuse, manipulation, physical abuse, mental abuse, codependency, toxic father figures, angst.
In the Temmie au, King Multiverse was 'created' to be king when he was EIGHTEEN. Error 404 was the only one he could relate to, so until he was twenty one, Error 404 was a father figure to him.
The first thing he saw was Error 404 standing Infront of him. Error 404, being his creator, and the first person King Multiverse ever knew, was the only one he could relate to. He attached himself to Error 404 because he is his own form of companion. He was thrust into the position of King when he was B I R N, and so didn't know how to deal with it. So until he was twenty one, until "that fateful day" (I'll explain that later), King Multiverse naively held onto love and hope that his friend will stop hurting him and tell him what he did wrong.
Error 404 was secretly a father figure to him. His creator, his father, and first and only friend.
He learned from Error 404 about the world, his place in it, his purpose, and how... Cruel it is.
Error 404 hated how rebellious and curious King Multiverse was. he never stayed put and never did what he was told. Error 404 has a lot of emotional suppression and toxic masculinity problems, so he both gave them to King Multiverse and projected them onto him. "Men don't cry.", "Men can't be weak.", etc.
Error 404 for a long while secretly...
Physically abused him. He let out his suppressed anger on the guy who thought he was his dad. Punished him whenever he did something wrong. He mentally and verbally abused him too.
But now, after hundreds of years, as Error 404 "got used to King Multiverse's antics", he decided that using brute force wouldn't help shape and control King Multiverse. Now days, Error 404 mentally manipulates and mentally abuses King Multiverse more than physically. He's gotten better at being subtle...
Nobody even knows Error 404 is also a narcissistic abuser. And that's apart of why King Multiverse is closed off and and has a 'cruel' demeanour.
It's implied that Error 404 KNOWS that King Multiverse did (and still does, even if it's suppressed and subconscious now) think of him as his father, friend and uses it to his advantage to control him.
Either way even if he didn't know, he still forces King Multiverse to be completely and utterly alone mentally and physically. (KM doesn't have any servants residing in his castle. He is all alone.)
What I meant by "that fateful day":
The day that hardened King Multiverse's heart and turned him hopeless at the ripe age of 21.
Error 404 was training KM to use his magic and KM, due to lack of sleep caused by the stress of ruling, was slacking. He kept making mistakes. Error 404 got pissed off and stopped holding back. He punched KM's chest and it flung the poor boy into a wall. Instead of getting up like it's a anime like you expect, KM passed out from the pain (he broke his ribs) a couple seconds later. The last thing he saw was the blurry figure of Error 404 standing Infront of him. When he awoke? He was gone. He was gone and KM was still slumped on the ground with broken ribs. KM had to get up, teleport home, walk all the way to his bathroom, pull the med kit out, and wrap the bandages on him ALL. BY. HIMSELF. His friend... His friend hates him. His friend is no friend. He is alone and hated. Anyway- King Multiverse cried for an hour or two, slumped on the floor against a wall. He couldn't take it anymore...
Fun fact: King Multiverse is 1,200 years old. (The agee can change if somebody gives me his canonical age in AlphaTale.)
He has spent his entire life being controlled by Error 404 and being unloved. He was never given a true, GENUINE compliment.
He isn't able to cry. He isn't able to smile. He is always controlled. He has never been able to breakdown and have people there to comfort him for once. He has NEVER been able to process all the abuse he's gone through and all suppressed emotions he's kept in Infront fear of mockery and shaming from Error 404, in a safe space.
Error 404 can see him at all times and shames him for crying. King Multiverse can't even cry himself to sleep or in a private room because Error 404 can FEEL it. And he mocks and taunts him for it the next time they meet afterwards. Every. Single. Time.
